The club singlet (vest) is the most important visual element in our running world.
It helps supporters, officials and athletes identify Stocksbridge runners from across the road or muddy field. More than that, pulling one on means a runner is ready to race, to fight for their teammates, to represent the club and all the history gone before us.
Kit
For club competitions/fixtures, it is compulsory that all athletes wear the maroon and gold. From the 1st January 2025 all previous versions of our kit will be retired from competitions; lots of our members are happy to lend out items if you’re still waiting for your club kit to arrive. We take a relaxed and inclusive attitude to kit rules: inclusion is the name of the game, and not having a club kit for financial or logistics reasons should not be a barrier.
Tops
Singlets, technical shirts or crop tops in maroon with gold. If you are running for a charity then please feel free to defer to the charity colours – we want to make sure that you can fundraise as much as you can and are spreading the message!
Bottoms
Whatever you want! Please do wear bottoms.
Club crest
Club rules state: The badge shall be the Stocksbridge Clock Tower with a female and male runner running across it. The county rose and year of formation is also to be included.
The tower and shield outline is borrowed from the towns Football Club logo, who in our first year helped get the club formed and off the ground. The tower is the town’s famous Clock Tower memorial.
Since 2023 it has appeared in a number of colour variations: within a circular badge and within a shield. In 2024 the new colours debuted and the addition of a female runner was added.
